The Summer Camp Assistant Group Leader supports and assists staff in carrying out all planned Summer enrichment and recreational activities for Summer Camp program in the Bronx Reports to: Program Director Location: 2100 Monterey Avenue, Bronx, NY 10457 Hours: 40 hours per week Major Duties: Assist the group leader with activities, including sports and recreation, educational, arts and craft and special events. Collect attendance folder and other data. Distribute lunches and snacks and assist with clean-up. Assist with monitoring and maintaining the rules of the program. Support activity instructor with lessons. Qualifications: Must demonstrate reliable and consistent work habits, and ability to work with other youth. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability and willingness to work in a dynamic team environment. Must have a commitment to work from a strength-based and/or youth development perspective.
